The pool, located just outside the city in Belgium. The building is Neo Renaissance style and was designed by August of Haesendonck (1863 -1935). Behind the white paint is a wall of sand and brick.
The city built this pool in the war of ‘14 - ‘18 Besides this bathhouse, is a beauty of a storehouse, where also the services of the customs were housed. This building testifies to the robust life past.
At the back of the pool there are two entrances, one for women and for men. Upon entering. There were also along both sides of the dock floors made of iron supported by pilasters.
The small bathrooms were tiled and enclosed with beautiful varnished wooden doors, It is spacious, with decent shower cubicles finished with white tiles. Here they received at least the opportunity in peace to wash from head to toe. At the entrance is the original counter, built in wood and glass doors equipped with the necessary payment.
